About the Role

The Commercial Video Editor works within ProductionBase’s commercial team, cutting spots and branded content across a range of campaign types and output formats. Day to day, this means ingesting and organising rushes, building selects, assembling cuts, and refining edits through client feedback rounds using a structured post-production workflow. The work requires someone who can hold a clear editorial point of view while staying responsive to brief changes and delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut commercials from rough assembly through to picture lock, maintaining story, pacing, and tonal consistency across each revision.
• Interpret creative briefs and translate them into editorial decisions that serve both the campaign strategy and the visual language of the spot.
• Manage project media, bin structures, and sequence organisation within the post-production workflow to keep projects handoff-ready at any stage.
• Work closely with colourists and sound designers during finishing to ensure the cut supports the final grade and mix.
• Deliver completed edits across multiple formats, aspect ratios, and platform specifications including broadcast, social, and digital pre-roll.
• Review footage for quality, flag technical issues early, and maintain continuity of edit decisions across multiple versions of a single campaign.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience editing commercial content, with a reel that shows range across tone, format, and product category.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Avid Media Composer, with working knowledge of After Effects for basic motion and graphics review.
• Familiarity with broadcast delivery standards and digital platform spec requirements across UK and international formats.
• A background that includes agency-facing projects, branded content production, or spots for recognisable clients or campaigns.
• Strong organisational habits around media management and the ability to run multiple commercial projects simultaneously without losing editorial focus.
