Job Position(s): Content Creator & Videographer (Photo, Video & Drone)
Project Type: Commercial
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Lilley Media is hiring a full-time Content Creator and Videographer based in Hobart, Tasmania, covering photo, video, and drone production for a growing roster of commercial clients. This role sits across the full content production workflow, from pre-production planning and on-location shooting through to post-production editing, social media asset delivery, and campaign-ready output. It suits a shooter and editor who is comfortable working independently in the field and wants variety across industries rather than a single-client or single-format brief.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position embedded in Lilley Media’s creative production team, contributing across both capture and post-production for digital and social media campaigns. Day to day, the work moves between on-location shoots around Hobart and surrounds, drone operations for aerial photo and video, and desk-based editing and content scheduling. The output spans short-form video production for Reels, TikTok, and paid social, alongside photography retouching, graphic design, and content calendar management across multiple client accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute on-location photo and video shoots for commercial clients across a range of industries and brand briefs.
  • Operate a drone to capture licensed aerial footage and photography, integrating that material into final deliverables.
  • Edit short-form video content for social media and digital advertising, including Reels, TikTok, and Stories formats.
  • Retouch photography and produce social graphics using Adobe Suite and Canva, adapting creative assets across multiple platforms and ad formats.
  • Manage content scheduling and publishing across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X, maintaining content calendars for several clients simultaneously.
  • Write captions within client brand guidelines and support campaign reporting as part of the internal creative workflow.

What You Bring

  • At least one year of hands-on experience in content creation, photography, or videography, with a portfolio or showreel that demonstrates your work.
  • Confident camera operation with a solid understanding of framing, lighting, and location audio.
  • Working knowledge of video editing software, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar tools used in short-form video production.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva for design and asset adaptation.
  • A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites across the Hobart region.

Why This Role

Lilley Media is one of Tasmania’s faster-growing digital agencies, which means the production slate is broad and the creative portfolio you build here will span genuinely different brands and formats. The hybrid setup is structured with real flexibility across office, home, and field days, rather than the kind of arrangement that quietly defaults to full-time desk work. There is direct scope to take on more responsibility as the agency grows.

Apply now for the Content Creator and Videographer role at Lilley Media and include your portfolio or showreel, as applications without one will not be reviewed.
