Motion Designer / Video Editor

EFK, a creative agency, is hiring a Motion Designer / Video Editor to work remotely on a part-time basis. This role sits squarely in post-production workflow, responsible for editing video content and building motion graphics across social, digital campaigns, and client deliverables. It suits a self-directed creative professional with a background in agency or branded content work who can move between editing and motion design without losing a beat.

About the Role

This is a part-time position starting at 15 to 20 hours per week, with a clear path toward full-time as the agency grows its production output. The Motion Designer / Video Editor works inside a creative team alongside directors, art directors, and strategists, taking concepts from rough direction through final delivery across multiple client projects simultaneously. Day-to-day work covers everything from short-form social video and kinetic typography to polished campaign edits and presentation assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit video content for digital campaigns, social platforms, and client presentations, managing aspect ratio adaptations and platform-specific formatting throughout post-production workflow.
• Design and build motion graphics, animated typography, transitions, and visual effects in After Effects to support branded content and campaign deliverables.
• Develop social-first and short-form video content with strong instincts for pacing, timing, and composition suited to vertical and square formats.
• Handle color correction, basic sound mixing, and finishing to bring cuts to a broadcast-ready or platform-ready state without handing off to a separate finishing suite.
• Manage project files, footage libraries, and asset organization independently while tracking multiple deadlines across concurrent client projects.
• Explore AI video and emerging creative tools to improve both the quality of output and the efficiency of the production pipeline.

What You Bring

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in video editing, motion design, or animation, ideally within an agency or branded content environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with strong working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
• A portfolio or reel that demonstrates range across editing, motion graphics, and visual storytelling across multiple formats.
• Proven ability to produce engaging short-form and social-first video content with a clear understanding of what performs across platforms.
• Experience with 2D animation, kinetic typography, sound design, or color grading is a meaningful advantage for this role.
