The work demands fluency in both the technical side of short-form video production and the cultural language of basketball and youth audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate camera on location at live sports events, selecting and framing moments that translate to vertical short-form video production.
• Edit footage to platform specifications for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, maintaining rapid turnaround timelines throughout the post-production workflow.
• Develop content concepts that reflect current trends in basketball culture and youth-driven social media, from pre-production through final delivery.
• Manage your own shoot kit and field production setup, including lighting and audio, to maintain consistent output quality across locations.
• Monitor platform performance and apply those findings directly to editorial decisions on future content.
• Coordinate with the wider creative team at Jack & Jill to align individual pieces within broader sports media campaigns and content series.

What You Bring

• A portfolio of short-form social video production credits, with specific examples of sports, lifestyle, or culture content that performed on TikTok or Reels.
• Hands-on experience with professional camera systems suited to run-and-gun and live event production.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or a comparable non-linear editing system, with the ability to cut and deliver on tight deadlines.
• A working understanding of TikTok’s algorithm, trending audio culture, and native editing tools.
• Experience shooting and delivering 9:16 vertical content for multi-platform distribution.
