Project Type: Film & Television
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Sony Pictures Entertainment is hiring a Digital Content Scheduling & Automation Specialist based in Miami, Florida. This role sits within the Latin American Content Strategy group, where the specialist owns the end-to-end programming schedule across Sony One’s digital distribution pipeline, including Amazon Channels, affiliate platforms, ISPs, and the Sony One App. It suits a detail-oriented operations professional who is comfortable moving between rights databases, CMS backends, and scripted automation tools within a multi-territory digital distribution workflow.

About the Role

The Digital Content Scheduling & Automation Specialist reports to the Digital Editorial & Programming Supervisor and works across a multi-platform digital distribution operation serving territories including Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and Argentina. Day-to-day work involves validating rights windows in systems like Bebanjo and Master Rights, preparing platform-specific avails files, and maintaining scheduling accuracy across CMS tools like Simplestream Media Manager and Prime Video Slate. The role also supports process improvement through tools like Python, Alteryx, and Power Automate to reduce manual scheduling errors and improve reporting visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain recurring content schedules across Sony One digital products, keeping each partner’s publishing timelines, rights windows, and platform-specific requirements properly mapped.
  • Prepare and audit platform-specific avails and scheduling files, applying correct metadata standards, SVOD vs. FVOD status, regional restrictions, and delivery specifications per territory.
  • Validate scheduling data across source documents including Master Lists, Content Asset Requests, Amazon SKU lists, and GPMS IDs to ensure accurate title identification and rights compliance.
  • Support multi-territory digital distribution operations, managing country-specific conditions such as title release timing, catalog size, exclusivity windows, and overlap compliance.
  • Build and maintain automation workflows using Python, macros, Alteryx, and Power Automate to improve scheduling consistency and reduce manual intervention across the post-production delivery pipeline.
  • Monitor partner requirement changes and operational exceptions, maintaining human oversight where automated workflows do not fully address metadata discrepancies or rights conflicts.

What You Bring

  • Hands-on experience in digital content operations, programming scheduling, or rights management within a television network or streaming distribution environment.
  • Working knowledge of rights and scheduling systems, with direct experience in platforms such as Bebanjo, Simplestream Media Manager, or comparable CMS and backend delivery tools.
  • Practical experience writing or maintaining scripts in Python, or building workflow automation using Alteryx or Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with SVOD and FVOD distribution models, avails file preparation, and metadata standards across multi-platform digital distribution workflows.
  • Ability to manage multi-territory scheduling operations, with working knowledge of Latin American market conditions preferred.
