About the Role

This role operates within the post-production workflow of Electrify Video Partners, a digital media company that acquires and scales established YouTube channels, including fern and Simplicissimus. Day to day, the editor is working with finished English-language videos, integrating Spanish voice-over recordings, rebuilding motion graphics in After Effects, and adjusting edit rhythm to match new narration tracks. The output feeds directly to a Spanish-language channel built to replicate fern’s journalistic storytelling style for a broader global audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and adapt English-language source videos into polished Spanish-language versions, maintaining the original documentary pacing and visual structure.
• Sync Spanish voice-over recordings to picture, adjusting cuts and scene timing to match the new narration without losing storytelling rhythm.
• Rebuild and translate on-screen titles, lower thirds, and graphic text elements inside After Effects to match the fern brand identity in Spanish.
• Modify 2D motion graphics and animated sequences to reflect accurate Spanish-language copy and culturally appropriate visual framing.
• Identify moments where additional footage or scene modifications are needed to strengthen cultural relevance for Spanish-speaking audiences.
• Manage revision rounds efficiently against project deadlines, communicating clearly with translators and voice talent across a remote production pipeline.

What You Bring

• Proven credits in video editing and motion design, ideally across factual, documentary, or journalism-led content formats.
• Professional-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, used within an active post-production workflow.
• Native or fluent Spanish speaker with strong English comprehension, able to assess localization quality at the script and graphic level.
• Demonstrable experience adapting video content for different languages or regional audiences within a localization or versioning pipeline.
• Solid time management and file organisation habits suited to freelance remote collaboration across multiple time zones.
