Moonbug Entertainment is hiring a Video Editor (GFX & Colour) on a contract basis in Los Angeles, CA. This role sits within the post-production team and is responsible for online editing, motion graphics, color grading, and final delivery across Moonbug’s children’s content slate. It suits an editor who is equally comfortable in a color suite and in After Effects, and who understands the technical demands of both broadcast and digital distribution.

About the Role

You will work inside Moonbug’s Los Angeles post-production workflow, finishing content to the highest technical and creative standards across the company’s portfolio of kids’ brands. Day to day, that means moving between online editing, GFX work, and color grading sessions, interpreting briefs and partner notes, and pushing deliverables through to final output. This is hands-on finishing work, not supervisory, and the volume and variety of content keeps the post-production workflow moving at a consistent pace.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform online editing in After Effects to a high standard of craft, including compositing and visual polish for children’s episodic content.
• Execute color grading passes in DaVinci Resolve or comparable software, maintaining consistency across episodes and meeting broadcast specifications.
• Build and apply motion graphics and GFX elements in After Effects, working from creative briefs and partner feedback.
• Prepare and manage assets in Photoshop to support the finishing pipeline and ensure files are properly structured for delivery.
• Troubleshoot post-production workflow issues and provide technical fixes that keep projects on schedule.
• Interpret notes from multiple partners and apply revisions accurately within the digital delivery standards required by each platform.

What You Bring

• High competence in After Effects for both online editing and motion graphics work within a professional post-production environment.
• High competence in DaVinci Resolve or equivalent color grading software, with an understanding of broadcast and digital delivery standards.
• Working knowledge of Premiere Pro for offline editing is preferred, as is Photoshop experience for asset preparation.
• Demonstrated ability to work through multi-partner briefs and revision cycles without losing accuracy or quality.
• Experience finishing content for children’s media, animation, or high-volume episodic television is a strong advantage.
