Video Editor

DLV BBDO is hiring a Video Editor based in Milan, Lombardy, to join their creative production team. This role sits inside the agency’s post-production workflow, responsible for delivering edited video content and motion graphic work across advertising campaigns for national and international brands. It is the right fit for a mid-level editor who thinks cinematically, moves comfortably between linear editing and 2D/3D animation, and has a genuine eye for how advertising communicates.

About the Role

The Video Editor works within DLV BBDO’s internal creative department, cutting and finishing campaign content that runs across broadcast and digital platforms. Day to day this means managing full post-production pipelines from rough cut through to final delivery, handling everything from picture editing to motion graphics, colour and audio work. The role carries real creative responsibility and involves close collaboration with art directors and creative leads on each project.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute linear editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, managing project structure, multicam timelines, and final export for broadcast and digital delivery.
• Build 2D and 3D motion graphic sequences in After Effects, from concept through to finished composited output.
• Prepare and manage static assets in Photoshop and Illustrator, adapting print and digital artwork for use within the video post-production pipeline.
• Handle audio editing and mixing at a working level in Adobe Audition, ensuring clean, broadcast-ready sound on all deliverables.
• Perform primary colour work in DaVinci Resolve, maintaining visual consistency across campaign edits.
• Track and apply current trends in advertising and visual communication, bringing informed creative instincts to each brief.

What You Bring

• Two to four years of experience as a Video Editor in an agency, production company, or post-production house.
• Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, including 3D compositing and animation within AE.
• Practical experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Audition, and DaVinci Resolve as part of a complete post workflow.
• A strong visual and cinematic sensibility, with genuine interest in film, music across genres and eras, and the broader landscape of visual art.
• A portfolio of advertising or branded content work demonstrating editing craft and motion design capability.
