Job Type
Disney is hiring a Producer II for its Digital Entertainment games division, based out of Glendale, CA. This role sits within the production department of a cross-functional game development team, responsible for managing the day-to-day pipeline that brings interactive experiences built on Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm IP to life. It is a strong fit for a seasoned game producer with AAA live-ops credits who knows how to keep a development team moving without losing sight of the creative vision.
About the Role
The Producer II reports to a Senior Manager of Production and operates at the center of a team building what Disney is positioning as a next-generation gaming experience. Day to day, this means running sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and playtests while also serving as the connective tissue between internal stakeholders and the development team. The role carries real ownership over the feature team schedule and the coordination of asset and brand approvals through Disney’s internal approval pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations across a cross-functional game development team, keeping sprint cycles on track and production milestones visible to all stakeholders.
- Own and maintain the feature team schedule using project management tools including Jira, Confluence, Airtable, and Miro.
- Facilitate agile rituals including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and playtests to maintain team alignment and momentum.
- Coordinate asset and brand approvals with Disney’s internal partners, ensuring all creative output meets IP standards across multiple properties.
- Identify and remove development blockers, working across production leads and external partners to resolve dependencies before they affect the schedule.
- Champion the production vision internally, communicating progress and surfacing risks to senior production leadership in a clear and timely way.
What You Bring
- At least 5 years of experience in game development production, specifically on console, mobile, or PC titles.
- At least one shipped AAA title with live operations components on your production credits.
- Hands-on proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Airtable, Miro, and Excel as part of a real production workflow.
- Familiarity with agile and other project management methodologies as applied in interactive entertainment production.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
Why This Role
Disney Digital Entertainment is building a development team from the ground up, which means a Producer II coming in now has genuine influence over how the production culture and pipeline take shape. The hiring range for this remote position is $105,100 to $140,900 per year, with additional consideration for bonuses, long-term incentive units, and a full benefits package. For a producer looking to work on recognizable IP at a studio with the resources to actually ship something ambitious, this is a rare opening.
Apply now for the Producer II role at Disney and bring your game development production experience to one of the most recognized entertainment studios in the world.
