Key Responsibilities

• Operate the camera during principal photography, making real-time adjustments to angle, framing, and focus to match the DP’s established visual blueprint.
• Work closely with the grip department to plan and execute dolly, crane, and rigged camera moves safely and within schedule.
• Communicate shot-by-shot with the director and DP to ensure each setup meets the creative brief before calling picture.
• Maintain and check camera equipment at the start and end of each shoot day, flagging any technical issues before they impact the schedule.
• Adapt quickly to changing lighting conditions, location constraints, and last-minute script or blocking revisions on set.
• Support continuity across takes by tracking framing and lens choices that will affect the edit and any post-production work downstream.

What You Bring

• Proven credits as a Camera Operator across feature film production, episodic television, or high-end commercial work.
• Hands-on experience operating professional cinema cameras such as ARRI, RED, or Sony Venice in varied production conditions.
• Solid understanding of lens choice, depth of field, and how on-set decisions interact with the post-production pipeline.
• Ability to operate camera rigs, including handheld, Steadicam, or gimbal configurations, depending on production requirements.
• A current working knowledge of set safety protocols and equipment handling standards relevant to UK film production.
