About the Role

The Video Editor at Perspective Pictures works directly alongside directors and producers on brand storytelling projects, taking ownership of the post-production workflow from the moment a brief lands to the point of delivery. Day to day, this means building narratives from raw rushes, managing feedback rounds, and ensuring each cut serves the story before it serves the spec. The slate spans short-form social content through to longer branded pieces, so the pace and format shift regularly.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end post-production process on assigned projects, from ingesting rushes to exporting final deliverables to client specifications.
• Cut across multiple formats including social content, branded documentary, and long-form brand films, adapting pacing and structure to suit each output.
• Work closely with directors during picture edit to develop narrative structure, not just execute technical assembly.
• Lead edits independently on key projects, taking creative accountability for storytelling decisions throughout the post-production workflow.
• Apply motion graphics and visual effects work using After Effects to support creative briefs where required.
• Manage colour grading and finishing passes in DaVinci Resolve, ensuring consistency across deliverables within a project.

What You Bring

• A portfolio of completed edits spanning social content, branded content, and long-form work that demonstrates clear narrative judgment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects as primary editing and motion graphics tools.
• Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve for colour correction and finishing within a post-production workflow.
• Experience collaborating with directors and producers on edits, not just receiving notes but contributing creatively to the cut.
• The ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages of post without losing quality on individual deliverables.
