Videographer & Motion Designer

Sun Life Financial, Inc. is hiring a Videographer and Motion Designer based in Bristol, England, to sit inside their in-house creative team. This is a production and post-production role covering everything from multi-camera location shoots and corporate documentary edits through to custom 2D animation and motion graphics built for broadcast and social delivery. It suits a mid-to-senior operator who is equally comfortable pulling focus on location and building kinetic typography sequences in After Effects the following morning.

About the Role

The role sits within Sun Life Financial’s internal marketing department, acting as the link between in-house content production and external agency partners handling larger TVC and campaign work. Day to day, this person is directing shoots independently, cutting mini-documentaries and product campaigns, and versioning masters into platform-specific formats for LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, and paid media channels. The post-production workflow includes colour grading, audio sweetening, and building animated assets from scratch, all held to strict corporate brand guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and operate multi-camera setups on location at events, client sites, and studio spaces, including rigging professional 3-point lighting and broadcast-quality audio capture.
• Coach internal staff, stakeholders, and senior executives to deliver confident, natural on-camera performances during production days.
• Build custom motion graphics and 2D animation assets in After Effects, including kinetic typography, animated lower thirds, logo reveals, and UI/UX software walkthroughs.
• Assemble narrative edits for mini-documentaries, case studies, podcasts, and product campaigns with clear story structure and clean editorial rhythm.
• Manage the agency relationship during external productions, maintaining visual consistency and brand integrity across TVC and onset filming deliverables.
• Integrate AI video, audio, and automation tools directly into the post-production workflow to improve turnaround on high-volume content.

What You Bring

• Five or more years of professional experience as a videographer and editor, ideally across agency and in-house corporate production environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• A showreel demonstrating high-production value corporate or commercial work with clear examples of integrated motion graphics and 2D animation.
• Hands-on experience operating mirrorless and cinema camera packages with professional lighting and audio gear under location schedules.
• Demonstrable experience creating vector-based animations, abstract motion design, and platform-optimised social content in multiple aspect ratios.
