Cherokee Film Commission

Job Type
Cherokee Film Commission is hiring for View All positions based in Oklahoma, connecting film and television professionals with casting and crew call opportunities across its production slate. This role sits at the intersection of production staffing and Indigenous-led storytelling, serving as a clearinghouse for crew placement across feature film production, episodic television, and soundstage projects. It suits an organized production professional who understands how casting and crew calls actually move through a production office and wants to work inside a commission with genuine development infrastructure behind it.
About the Role
Cherokee Film Commission operates a full-service production environment in Oklahoma, including its own soundstage, an in-house development slate, and a television division producing original Native-led content. The View All function within casting and crew calls means tracking and surfacing every active opportunity across departments, from camera and grip to post-production workflow and development roles. A typical day involves monitoring incoming production requests, maintaining the archive of current and past calls, and ensuring working professionals can find and access the right opportunities quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the casting and crew calls archive to reflect current feature film production and episodic television opportunities across all departments.
- Coordinate with the soundstage manager and production staff to confirm crew availability aligns with active shoot schedules at the Oklahoma facility.
- Field and organize incoming crew call submissions from productions seeking local and regional talent across Oklahoma.
- Support the film development team by tracking production timelines and flagging staffing needs as projects move from development into production.
- Liaise between incoming productions and Cherokee Film Commission staff to ensure crew calls are accurately categorized by department and skill set.
- Archive closed casting and crew calls in a searchable format that supports future production staffing research.
What You Bring
- Prior experience working inside a film commission, production company, or casting office in a coordination or administrative production role.
- Familiarity with episodic television and feature film production workflows, including how crew calls are issued and filled across departments.
- Working knowledge of production staffing across grip, electric, camera, art department, and post-production disciplines.
- Comfort managing a high volume of listings and communications across an active production pipeline.
- Experience working with or alongside Indigenous-led media organizations is a plus.
Why This Role
Cherokee Film Commission sits within Cherokee Nation Businesses and carries genuine development resources, a working soundstage, and a leadership team with credits spanning American Zoetrope productions and Regional Emmy-winning television. The commission is actively building a production infrastructure in Oklahoma that spans documentary television, narrative feature film production, and original Native-led content, which means the View All role connects you to a real and growing slate rather than a single project. For crew and casting professionals in the region, this is a direct line into one of the more substantive Indigenous-owned production entities currently operating in the United States.
Apply now for the View All role at Cherokee Film Commission and put yourself at the center of Oklahoma’s growing film and television production community.
