ODIS PTY LTD is hiring a full-time Videographer and Video Editor based in Newcastle, New South Wales, to own the entire content production pipeline for a scaling personal brand in the business and performance space. This is a single-person role spanning both principal photography and post-production workflow, covering short-form social content for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts through to long-form YouTube pieces and event coverage. The role suits a working professional who has built a genuine reel across documentary-style and branded content production, not someone coming from a purely commercial or event videography background.

About the Role

The Videographer and Video Editor sits at the centre of the brand’s content operation, working directly with the team across studio sessions, live events, and behind-the-scenes capture in and around the Hunter region. On any given day, that means pulling a camera on location in the morning and sitting in an edit suite in the afternoon, turning rushes into finished pieces on a tight turnaround. This is a production role, not a creative director position, and the output volume is high.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot principal footage across studio, location, and event environments, handling camera operation, basic lighting setups, and audio capture independently.
• Edit short-form content for social platforms with a clear understanding of hook structure, pacing, caption placement, and audience retention mechanics.
• Manage the end-to-end post-production workflow from ingest through to delivery, maintaining consistent turnaround times without external supervision.
• Cut longer YouTube and event pieces that serve both brand-building and direct audience conversion goals.
• Identify the strongest clip or moment to lead each piece without requiring a detailed brief from the client or team.
• Track content performance and apply that data to future editorial and shooting decisions across the production slate.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated credits across short-form branded content production, with verifiable examples you shot and edited yourself.
• Proficiency in professional non-linear editing software, including colour correction and audio mixing at a working level.
• Proven ability to hit deadlines across high-volume content pipelines without a producer managing your schedule.
• A working knowledge of what drives performance on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube based on real results, not theory.
