About the Role

Sitting within SPE’s EMEA television distribution function, this Finance Director works alongside commercial teams in London, Munich and Dubai to support the licensing of SPE’s episodic television and film content across the region. Day to day, this means owning budgets and forecasts for territories including the UK, Germany, the Nordics, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East, while also building financial models to support deal-making decisions across broadcast and streaming distribution. The role connects local territory teams with the EMEA regional finance function and Home Office Finance in Los Angeles, sitting at the centre of a genuinely global television distribution operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, review and reporting of budgets, forecasts and MRPs across all supported EMEA territories within the TV distribution business.
• Deliver management reporting that gives commercial teams a clear view of performance, variance analysis and the risk profile within their distribution plans.
• Build and maintain financial models that support commercial decision-making on content licensing deals across broadcast, streaming and digital platforms.
• Act as the primary control point for data management and financial compliance across the supported territories, ensuring adherence to Sony accounting policies and IFRS standards.
• Lead and develop a team of three, including a Senior Finance Manager and Finance Manager, with a focus on coaching and building a high-performing finance function.
• Drive process improvement and project work across the EMEA television distribution finance function, working with FP&A, RTR, OTC and Tax teams globally.

What You Bring

• Significant experience in a senior finance role within television distribution, media rights or a related area of the entertainment industry.
• Proven ability to partner with senior commercial stakeholders, including EVP-level leadership, in a TV distribution or content licensing environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience maintaining financial controls within a multinational studio or media company.
• Experience managing and developing finance professionals in a team leadership capacity.
• The right to work in the United Kingdom for the duration of employment, in line with UK immigration requirements.
