Streaming Producer

This role sits inside the newsroom’s digital operation, where the primary output is live and on-demand streaming content distributed across FOX LOCAL and connected TV platforms rather than linear broadcast. About the Role

The Streaming Producer reports to the Sr. Producer of Streaming and works within a newsroom that has committed to a streaming-first production model, generating content around the clock rather than around a broadcast schedule. Day to day, this person is operating live switching and encoding tools, publishing clips across CTV and social platforms, and making real-time editorial calls during breaking news events, press conferences, and original programming. The work is hands-on and production-heavy, not editorial-only.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and manage live streaming coverage of breaking news, live events, and original programming for FOX LOCAL and social video platforms.
• Operate live production tools including video switching, encoding, clipping, and publishing, with direct responsibility for real-time technical troubleshooting during streams.
• Create platform-native short-form video content formatted for mobile and CTV consumption, including graphics and text-based storytelling.
• Monitor real-time analytics and audience behavior to make editorial and production decisions before, during, and after live streams.
• Coordinate with newsroom, digital, and social teams to align coverage priorities and maintain consistent output across all distribution points.
• Work assigned early morning, late night, weekend, and holiday shifts, and report on-site during major breaking news and weather emergencies.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Production, or a related field with a digital focus.
• Two or more years producing digital video content, live streams, or social-first news in a newsroom environment.
• Hands-on technical proficiency with live streaming workflows including switching, encoding, live publishing, and distribution pipelines.
• Experience with video editing software and production tools, with Adobe Creative Suite considered a strong advantage.
• Comfort reading and acting on platform analytics to shape content strategy in real time.
