Production Supervisor – Ink

Netflix is hiring a Production Supervisor for its Ink division, based in Los Angeles, California. About the Role

The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and Producer within Inkubator, Netflix’s experimental animation label developing short-form and special content using hybrid generative AI and traditional animation workflows. Day to day, this person is the connective tissue between artists, tech teams, and show leadership, tracking shot progress in ShotGrid, running review sessions, and writing up the workflow documentation that keeps a non-standard production pipeline from going sideways. Key Responsibilities

• Manage shot and sequence tracking inside ShotGrid across all stages of animated production, from pre-production through final delivery, flagging schedule vulnerabilities before they become misses.
• Create and maintain workflow documentation for GenAI and traditional hybrid animation processes, updating materials as tools and pipelines change across the production run.
• Oversee artist review sessions with show leadership, setting agendas, managing approval timelines, and ensuring all review materials are properly organized and labeled before reaching key stakeholders.
• Generate daily and weekly status reports for the Producer and Production Manager, including tooling blockers, overtime forecasts, and productivity tracking against the production schedule.
• Serve as the primary production contact for artists on the floor, conducting regular check-ins and escalating training or tooling gaps to the technical pipeline team as needed.
• Supervise Production Coordinators and Production Assistants, and collaborate with technology teams to test, implement, and refine new animation production tools.

What You Bring

• A minimum of two years working as a Production Coordinator or equivalent role on CG feature films, episodic animation, or short-form animated content.
• Hands-on experience with ShotGrid for asset and shot tracking in an animation production environment.
• Comfort working inside Google Suite for scheduling, reporting, and production documentation.
• Familiarity with animation post-production workflow, including review pipelines, deliverables, and approval processes across departments.
• Genuine ease with ambiguity, specifically the kind that comes with building new production workflows rather than inheriting established ones.
