The Last Tamale | Comedy Short Film | Los Angeles, CA

Jeremy Mowery, an independent filmmaker, has been making a name for himself with his latest short comedy, The Last Tamale, a fun and creative short where a boyfriend’s worst nightmare occurs when his girlfriend’s mother makes him eat the biggest, spiciest tamale known to man to prove himself worthy of her daughter. The film has screened at numerous film festivals, including the F3: Frankly Film Fest, The Big Mini Medial Festival, The Flathead Lake International Cinemafest, and most recently, at the Houston Comedy Film Festival, where it was nominated for two awards and won the Most Original Concept Award. It has also won the Best Shorts Award of Recognition, December 2017. This film was based on real people and events, with some slight exaggerations for comedy, making it quite the hilarious experience!
