“Intense. A moving story of a man’s love, pride, and haunted past. A story that reminds us how man’s inhumanity to man destroys us all.”
Wendell Pierce – (NAACP Image Award Winner) Selma, Confirmation, The Wire

BROOKLYN IN JULY is the story of Frank Walker is a Black WWII veteran, scarred by a past that is lurking skin deep. With a new job as a chauffeur, Frank struggles with the racist sentiments of 1940s America.

Award-winning writer/director Bob Celli achieves this through masterful direction, cinematography, and through the intimacy he employs in the scenes. Little is left unsaid in this highly touted short film.

The film stars Wilmington, NC native Thaddeus Daniels. (John Wick 2, The Blacklist, Orange Is The New Black, Golden Boy, The Americans and Half Nelson.)

BROOKLYN IN JULY is Co-Executive Produced by Laura Delano and Bob Celli of DelanoCelli Productions, a NY based production company.
