Videographer Internship – Summer 2027

HexArmor is hiring a Videographer Internship candidate for Summer 2027 at their corporate headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role sits inside the New Media department, producing short-form video content across social media platforms, streaming channels, and product marketing campaigns. About the Role

The Videographer Internship reports directly to the New Media Director and contributes to a content pipeline that covers product showcase videos, brand storytelling, and social-first formats. On a typical day, you might be pulling together a studio shoot in the morning and sitting in an editing bay refining motion graphics and sound design in the afternoon. This is a 14-week, full-time internship beginning May 17, 2027, running 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate HexArmor-provided camera, lighting, and audio equipment for both studio and on-site production shoots.
• Develop short-form video concepts from brief through to final delivery, covering product content and social media formats.
• Edit footage in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, incorporating motion graphics, transitions, music, and sound design to meet brand standards.
• Monitor social media and digital video trends to identify formats that translate well into product marketing content.
• Support photography and cinematography needs across brand and product shoots as required by the New Media team.
• Track project progress and log hours through JIRA or a comparable project management platform, managing digital storage and content archives throughout production.

What You Bring

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Video Production, Film, Media Production, or a related field, with a graduation date of 2027 or 2028.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Audition as part of a post-production workflow.
• Basic cinematography and photography skills developed through coursework, personal projects, or prior internships.
• A portfolio or reel showing video, photography, or other digital content work is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with content creation for social media platforms and an awareness of current short-form video production trends.
