Baethke Plumbing is hiring a full-time Videographer based in Chicago, IL. This role owns the entire video content pipeline, from pre-production strategy through filming, editing, and publishing across YouTube, the company website, and social platforms. It suits a video production professional who thinks in terms of audience and outcome, not just shot composition and color grade.

About the Role

Reporting to the Content Manager, this Videographer operates as a one-person production unit embedded inside a home services company that is serious about video as a revenue driver. The work spans interview-style educational content, sales enablement video, and short-form repurposing, with a minimum output of three produced videos per week. A typical day moves between pre-production planning, on-location or studio shooting with company subject matter experts, and post-production workflow including optimization for YouTube Studio and video hosting platforms like Wistia.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full video content strategy in alignment with an inbound marketing framework, managing the production calendar in collaboration with the Content Manager and sales team.
• Transport, set up, operate, and maintain all camera systems and audio equipment across both location shoots and studio production environments.
• Coach non-professional on-camera talent, including plumbers and service staff, to perform clearly and confidently in interview and educational formats.
• Optimize all published video content for YouTube, including metadata, thumbnails, and audience retention strategy, using YouTube Studio tools and analytics platforms.
• Support the sales team in producing and deploying one-to-one and one-to-many video assets that are used actively in the closing process.
• Apply AI production tools to improve turnaround on captioning, audio enhancement, color correction, and short-form repurposing from longer source content.

What You Bring

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects, with Motion experience preferred and working knowledge of Photoshop or Illustrator for thumbnail production.
• Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end video production workflow independently, from storyboarding and scripting through final publish.
• A strong portfolio showing interview-based content, branded video production, and multi-platform publishing.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics and CRM-based video performance reporting.
• A degree in film production, broadcast journalism, or multimedia production is preferred but a strong production portfolio is accepted in place of formal education.
