About the Role

The Video Editor works inside Whisper’s football and digital division, a team producing content for one of the sport’s significant brand partners at the platform level. Day to day, that means cutting sport compilations, two-camera interview edits, and social video content calibrated for YouTube performance, with media management and metadata delivery built into every project workflow. This is not a passive post-production role, the expectation is that you are actively shaping how the team approaches social video editing and sharing that knowledge with junior editors.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut football highlights, sport compilations, and social clips across multiple aspect ratios to broadcast and platform delivery standards.
• Edit two-camera interview shoots into engaging, well-paced pieces that hold audience attention for a major football brand’s YouTube channel.
• Use platform analytics and performance data to refine editing decisions and improve content output on an ongoing basis.
• Deliver finished edits to a content management system using accurate metadata, following established post-production workflows without deviation.
• Act as the internal reference point on social video best practice, keeping junior football video editors informed on platform trends, format changes, and what is performing well across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Maintain media management to a high standard of accuracy across all projects, using project management software and spreadsheets to track and communicate deliverables to multiple stakeholders.

What You Bring

• A strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, used daily across a range of sports and social content formats.
• A track record of editing football content for major sports organisations or digital publishers, with credits that reflect genuine platform understanding.
• Deep knowledge of European football over the last two decades, applied directly to research and editorial decision-making.
• Comfort working on both Mac and PC within structured post-production workflows.
• Consistent engagement with YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok as a viewer and as a professional reference point for what works.
