Project Type: Commercial
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: See Post

Changing Lives Productions LLC is hiring a Video Colorist to work remotely from Mexico City on its high-volume short-form content pipeline. This role sits within the post-production department and is responsible for color correction and color grading of narrative-driven social media videos from raw camera footage through final delivery. It is a strong fit for a colorist with a background in narrative film work who can read a scene and shape its emotional tone without being handed a lookup table to start from.

About the Role

Changing Lives Productions is the production arm behind Dhar Mann Studios, generating short motivational videos that reach over one billion views per month across Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. The colorist works alongside editors, directors, and shooters in a post-production workflow built for high-frequency output, grading content that follows a cinematic narrative structure rather than a commercial or branded content format. A typical week involves pulling raw footage into DaVinci Resolve, building looks from scratch, matching shots across scenes, and delivering organized final files that meet both creative and branding standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform primary and secondary color correction in DaVinci Resolve on raw narrative footage without reliance on preset LUTs.
  • Build and maintain consistent color grades across each production, ensuring shot matching holds throughout full scenes and episode-length cuts.
  • Apply color theory to support story and character arcs, using grade decisions to reinforce suspense, emotion, and pacing in the edit.
  • Collaborate directly with the Editing Manager to align the color grade with the visual intent of each production.
  • Deliver fully organized, properly named final files that meet the technical specifications required for multi-platform social media distribution.
  • Manage consistent output across a high volume of projects without allowing turnaround pressure to compromise the quality of the finished grade.

What You Bring

  • Minimum three years of experience color grading short-form video content with a narrative structure.
  • High-level working proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, including node-based grading and scopes-driven correction.
  • A portfolio that clearly demonstrates cinematic color grading work on scripted or narrative productions.
  • Deep understanding of color theory as it applies to film narrative and audience perception.
  • Ability to maintain quality and consistency across a large volume of projects on a contractor schedule of 20 or more hours per week.

Why This Role

The post-production workflow here is built around content that genuinely reaches a global audience, with over 60 billion cumulative views across platforms. This is a contractor position compensated at $15 to $25 per hour, with scheduling details confirmed during the interview process. For a colorist who wants to grade narrative content at scale and see their work reach hundreds of millions of viewers, this is a role with real visibility.

Apply now for the Video Colorist position with Changing Lives Productions LLC and bring your grading work to one of the most-watched short-form narrative content studios operating today.
