*About the Role*We are seeking a highly technical Project Manager with a strong background in residential design, building science, and construction detailing. This role is ideal for candidates with technical training who want to apply their design knowledge directly to real?world construction.Our Project Managers lead the full design?build process, working closely with engineers, architects, and clients to develop buildable solutions for each home. You will be responsible for technical design development, material takeoffs, construction detailing, and ensuring the feasibility of all connection details and assemblies.Each Project Manager is paired with a Site Supervisor who oversees day?to?day site operations, trade scheduling, and on?site coordination. This allows PMs to focus on the technical, pre?construction, and high?level project leadership aspects of the build.*Key Responsibilities**Technical Design & Pre?Construction** Develop, review, and refine detailed construction drawings, specifications, and connection details.* Complete accurate material takeoffs, quantity estimates, and cost breakdowns.* Create technical solutions for structural, architectural, and building?science?related challenges.* Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure all designs are feasible, code?compliant, and aligned with project goals.* Support permitting and documentation requirements.*Project Leadership** Lead the project from early design through completion, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and quality expectations.* Work closely with the Site Supervisor to ensure design intent is executed correctly on site.* Manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and client communication.* Review site progress, respond to RFIs, and resolve technical issues as they arise.* Maintain accurate project documentation and change management processes.*Construction Oversight (High?Level)** Conduct site visits to verify technical details and support the Site Supervisor.* Ensure assemblies, materials, and connection details are executed according to design.* Troubleshoot constructability issues and provide timely solutions.*Required Skills & Experience** Bachelor of Environmental Design (Architecture), Structural Engineering, Architectural Technology, Construction Management, CET or equivalent.* 3?5 years of experience in residential construction, design?build, or architectural/engineering roles.* Strong understanding of building science, construction methods, and residential detailing.* Proven ability to complete material takeoffs, estimates, and technical construction solutions.* Ability to read, interpret, and critique architectural and engineering drawings.* Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients, consultants, and trades.* High attention to detail and strong problem?solving abilities.* Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar).*Preferred Qualifications** Experience in custom home building or major residential renovations.* Knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes, and construction standards.* Experience working in a design?build environment.*Benefits** Casual dress* Dental care* Extended health care* Paid time off* RRSP match* Vision care*Schedule** Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm* OnsiteJob Type: Full-timePay: From $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Casual dress* Dental care* Extended health care* Paid time off* RRSP match* Vision careApplication question(s):* Do you have design build experience?Experience:* construction: 3 years (required)* project management: 3 years (required)Work Location: In person
