About the Role

We’re seeking to expand our roster of Nuke compositors to join our dynamic VFX team for an exciting new project. We’re currently looking for 2D Nuke comp artists that have at least 2 years’ worth of Nuke experience in a Post/VFX studio setting, specifically Film and Television.

This role is perfect for a Junior Compositor with a strong grasp of VFX fundamentals, looking to progress to a Mid-level position within the next 6 months.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Responsible for layer integration and blending of multiple high-quality 4K plates of CG, live-action and matte paintings into a single frame for our feature film and television slate.

Diligent attention to detail for matching light, colour, perspective and depth in collaboration with our colour department to ensure a strong, cohesive finished shot.

Familiarity with Roto & Paint, creating optical effects and basic DMP work.

Strong problem-solving abilities for creative and technical challenges.

Organised node structures and colour management pipelines across projects to maintain optimised workflows.

Actioning notes across comps given by the VFX Supervisor / Production Manager in a dailies setting.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:
University degree in Film, Media, Visual Effects, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:
At least 2 years’ experience working on high-end Film and/or TV projects in a TV or Film Post Production Facility as a Jr VFX Compositor.

Knowledge of Nuke:
Mastery of Nuke in a studio setting, working within the VFX pipeline.

Proficiency:
Experience in F-Track is preferred.
