About the Role

The Media Production Unit runs around the clock, supplying on-air graphics to show teams and live control rooms across FOX News Media’s full broadcast and streaming portfolio. As Supervisor, Media Production Unit, you are the operational center of that workflow, managing shift schedules, fielding breaking news demands, and keeping handoffs clean across a 24/7 team. A typical day involves triaging incoming graphics orders, coordinating with show producers, and working alongside production assistants to maintain quality control on everything that goes to air.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and train production assistants responsible for assigning and checking day-of-air graphics for broadcast news show teams across multiple live television platforms.
• Maintain and adjust team schedules in response to shifting programming needs and breaking news events.
• Triage breaking news coverage by proactively assigning graphics requests and communicating directly with live control room staff.
• Train staff on editorial and visual quality control standards appropriate to a live broadcast news production workflow.
• Build and maintain working relationships with show producers to prioritize orders, solve problems, and manage expectations on special requests.
• Mentor production assistants and support their professional development within the company.

What You Bring

• Five or more years of relevant experience in broadcast news production or a comparable live television environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing direct reports and delivering employee feedback in a production setting.
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, the Adobe Suite, and VizRT or a comparable real-time graphics system used in broadcast production.
• Experience with order management systems including Jira and Confluence.
• Proficiency with standard production communication tools including Zoom and Slack alongside Office and Google apps.
• A bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, Journalism, or Communications, with strong editorial judgment and knowledge of current events.
