A typical day combines script reading, coverage writing, and editorial committee prep, with weekly competitive analysis of the French theatrical and streaming market.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and log incoming fiction projects submitted to the editorial team for streaming platform consideration.
• Read and analyse French feature film screenplays across fiction genres, applying knowledge of narrative structure and market positioning.
• Write detailed script coverage reports that assess each project’s editorial and commercial potential for the Disney+ catalogue.
• Participate in editorial committee meetings where projects are discussed and advanced through the development and acquisition process.
• Contribute to internal presentations and production reports in both French and English, including research, synthesis, and layout using PowerPoint and Excel.
• Conduct weekly competitive intelligence tracking activity across French cinema and competing streaming platforms.

What You Bring

• Current enrollment in a higher education programme in cinema, audiovisual production, or a related field.
• Strong written analytical skills in French, with the ability to produce clear, structured script coverage to a professional standard.
• Familiarity with the French film industry landscape, including theatrical distribution, production companies, and the streaming acquisition process.
• Some prior experience reading or writing screenplays, whether through coursework, a production company, or independent projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, used here for competitive analysis and internal reporting.
