About the Role

Day to day, you are editing and publishing across news, politics, royals, showbiz and features, building packages from raw footage through to finished pieces with graphics, captions and branding in place. You will also take a lead role on weekend and night shifts, reviewing edits from producers and maintaining output standards across the desk.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and publish short-form video for a global digital audience, working across breaking news and original series within the daily post-production workflow.
• Cut raw footage from original reporting, wire feeds, UGC and archive into sharp narrative packages that meet editorial and compliance standards.
• Add graphics, captions, subtitles and brand treatments inside Premiere Pro to complete finished pieces ready for digital publication.
• Pitch and develop video ideas across the full content slate, identifying story opportunities as the news cycle moves.
• Lead producers on weekend and overnight shifts, reviewing edits and maintaining production quality across the team.
• Ensure all published content meets legal, copyright and platform compliance requirements before sign-off.

What You Bring

• Proven editing credits from a newsroom, digital publisher or similarly deadline-driven video production environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro as your primary editing tool.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supervising other editors or producers under live production conditions.
• Sharp editorial judgment and a clear understanding of what drives audience engagement across digital and social video.
• Solid grasp of SEO principles as they apply to digital video publishing and discoverability.
