Job Position(s): Senior Video Editor
Project Type: Commercial
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Comcast is hiring a Senior Video Editor based in New York, New York to join its Comcast Advertising creative team. This role sits firmly in post-production, responsible for cutting commercials, branded content, docu-style videos, and social campaigns across a portfolio of advertising brands that span linear, digital, and streaming platforms. It suits an editor who thinks in narrative terms first and treats motion graphics, color, and sound design as tools of storytelling rather than finishing tasks.

About the Role

The Senior Video Editor operates within the in-house creative department at Comcast Advertising, working across the full post-production workflow from assembly cut through final delivery. Projects range from 30-second spots and case study videos to executive communications and multiscreen campaign content. Day to day, you are reviewing footage, building story structure, integrating motion graphics, and collaborating directly with Creative Directors and Motion Designers to shape how each piece lands with its audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit commercials, branded content, documentary-style videos, and social campaign assets from assembly through picture lock, maintaining narrative integrity across all formats.
  • Shape story structure through performance selection, pacing, music supervision, and sound design to drive emotional engagement and clear messaging.
  • Integrate motion graphics, typography, and occasional 3D elements into the editorial timeline, working closely with Motion Designers to maintain cohesive visual systems.
  • Perform color correction, audio mixing, and final delivery preparation optimized for digital, streaming, event, and presentation environments.
  • Provide editorial perspective during pre-production to identify storytelling opportunities before cameras roll, partnering with producers on scheduling and effort estimates.
  • Stay current on AI-assisted editing workflows and emerging post-production technologies, recommending process improvements that protect creative quality.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrable credits across commercial post-production, branded content, or documentary editing at a senior level.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with working knowledge of motion graphics pipeline and finishing tools.
  • Experience with VFX integration and 3D animation workflows within editorial projects.
  • Strong instincts around narrative structure, pacing, and audience engagement developed across multiple content formats.
  • Ability to mentor junior editors and freelancers while managing your own project load without sacrificing delivery standards.

Why This Role

Comcast Advertising sits at the intersection of premium video content and ad technology, which means the Senior Video Editor here works on content that reaches audiences across every major screen format rather than a single channel or platform. The in-house model gives editors direct access to Creative Directors and Strategists throughout the process, shortening feedback loops and giving editorial real influence over creative outcomes.

Apply today for the Senior Video Editor position at Comcast and bring your post-production expertise to one of the most widely distributed advertising platforms in the country.
