Senior Gen AI Solutions Engineer (VFX)

Experteer Overview In this role you will design and implement production-grade generative AI workflows for high-end visual effects, integrating tools into existing pipelines. You will work across research, product, platform, design, and engineering to translate new capabilities into usable, artist-facing solutions. You’ll apply VFX domain knowledge to align tools with real-world workflows while advancing scalable, reliable AI systems. This position offers hands-on tool development, cross-team collaboration, and opportunities to influence creative workflows at scale. Compensation / Benefits • Design and iterate on custom generative AI workflows with node-based systems (e.g., ComfyUI) • Prototype and refine artist-facing tools that integrate AI into production pipelines • Write high-quality code to extend automation and tooling for AI workflows • Collaborate with research, product, platform, design, and engineering to translate capabilities into usable solutions • Apply VFX domain knowledge to ensure alignment with real-world workflows • Incorporate feedback to improve usability, performance, and reliability of tools • Own end-to-end solutions from concept to deployment and iteration • Contribute to engineering and workflow best practices for scalable AI systems Tasks • 7+ years in creative tooling for VFX, animation, or high-end media production • Hands-on experience with node-based AI systems (ComfyUI or equivalent) and customization • Strong Python programming skills for building tools and automation • Understanding of diffusion-based generative models and inference trade-offs • Experience integrating AI tools into DCC apps/pipelines (Houdini, Nuke, Maya, Blender, Unreal) • Experience designing and maintaining reliable systems in cloud or hybrid environments • Ability to work independently in hybrid/remote settings and collaborate across time zones • Strong communication bridging creative and technical perspectives Key requirements •
