About the Role

The Content Strategy and Acquisitions team works hand in hand with Sony Pictures’ production units to evaluate new TV series and films before they move to the global sales organization for worldwide distribution. As Senior Analyst, Content Valuation, your day-to-day centers on building and refining financial models, tracking performance against greenlight targets, and synthesizing market data to give Sales, Finance, and Production the numbers they need to move forward. This is a cross-functional role that touches episodic television development, global distribution agreements, and content performance analysis across a multi-billion-dollar sales operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain content valuation models used to evaluate greenlight requests and acquisitions across Sony Pictures Entertainment’s full television slate.
• Manage the ultimate review process, communicating valuation updates, risks, and opportunities to Finance and Sales on a quarterly basis.
• Model financial scenarios for TV productions at the greenlight stage, stress-testing assumptions against territory-level distribution data.
• Read scripts and creative materials to assess content potential and feed those insights into valuation and strategic recommendations.
• Track sales performance across the global television distribution pipeline and deliver regular and ad hoc reporting to product owners.
• Partner with the Insights team to monitor talent and genre trends that shape content acquisition strategy across international markets.

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related analytical field.
• Three to four years of experience in an analytical role with direct exposure to TV and film distribution or television licensing.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with Tableau experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex legal agreements, financial models, and creative documents in a production or distribution context.
• A working understanding of how global television distribution deals are structured across territories.
