About the Role

You’ll be working within Lionsgate Canada’s finance team, supporting a catalogue that spans feature film production, acquired content, and episodic television across both domestic and international markets. Day to day you’re maintaining participations models, reconciling general ledger accounts, and keeping the numbers clean enough to hold up against external audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage participations and royalty accrual models to calculate amounts payable to producers across the content library.
• Prepare and review film accounting models for content asset amortization as part of the quarter end close process.
• Own the investment in production and acquired content balances on the balance sheet, including reconciliation and variance analysis against budget and forecast.
• Prepare journal entries and support the month end close with analysis of relevant profit and loss accounts.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure internal controls compliance across all content finance workflows.
• Support external audit processes and contribute to special projects as the content slate and reporting requirements evolve.

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting with a CPA designation or active pursuit of one.
• Three to five years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to entertainment, media, or content asset accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills for building and maintaining complex financial models, with solid working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook.
• Experience with SAP and Analysis is a genuine asset given the systems environment at Lionsgate.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines across month end and quarter end cycles.
