We are looking for two writers (Documentary Script for YouTube) who will craft a compelling narrative for a high-quality documentary series releasing in small episodes bi-weekly. This video will be the centerpiece of our promotional campaign for Soul Atlas Universe and will be shared across YouTube and social media platforms.

BACKSTORY On our channel we are building a fantasy universe that includes films, games, comic books, music, and more (think Game of Thrones, Runeterra, Middle Earth, or the Wizarding World)

This documentary will dive into the backstage of Soul Atlas Universe. It will feature interviews with creators, behind-the-scenes footage, and a deep look into the creative process behind our universe whilst also dramatising critical events like premieres, concerts, movie shoots and recordings.

The goal is to create bi-weekly a single, impactful video (10 – 15 minutes) that not only entertains but also connects emotionally with our audience. This video will be promoted across social media through teasers and clips, but the main piece will go live on YouTube.

Our content is 100% entertainment-driven, and the “Rule of Cool” rules here.

• YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Write a dynamic and engaging script for a 10-15 minute documentary video.
• Collaborate with the production team to integrate interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and visual elements into a cohesive narrative.
• Propose creative ideas for storytelling techniques, such as animations, humor, or visual metaphors, to enhance the video.
• Ensure the script aligns with the tone and vision of Soul Atlas Universe.
• Adapt the script for promotional use on social media (teasers, clips, etc.).
• Participate in feedback sessions to refine the script

• OUR OBJECTIVE Create a documentary that captures the essence of Soul Atlas Universe and the creative process behind it.
• Build a narrative that connects emotionally with viewers, encouraging them to explore more of our universe.
• Use the documentary as a tool to attract new subscribers and engage our existing audience.

• YOU are a skilled storyteller with experience writing scripts for documentaries, videos, or similar content.
• You are familiar with YouTube, and you know how to adapt your writing for different platforms.
• You are proactive: If you need more information, better footage, or additional interviews, you don’t wait—you reach out and make it happen.
• You are reliable: You are in communication with us about your progress so we can adjust plans given any personal emergencies.
• You are curious and analytical: You love figuring out what makes a story work and how to keep an audience hooked.
• (A Plus) You are passionate about fantasy, sci-fi, and worldbuilding.

COMPENSATION DETAILS Time Investment:

• Approximately 10 hours/week (flexible week on week, as we understand you may have other commitments).

Salary:

• At this point, there is no salary. However, salary may kick in next year, depending on the growth of the company and other factors.

Shares:

• Instead of a salary, you will be given shares in the company. These shares come with revenue-sharing rights and can later be bought back by the company at a multiple. Essentially, you become an investor through your time and effort, with the potential for significant returns if the company grows profitably. We can go into more detail about how this works during the interview.
