About the Role

The Remote Camera Operations Coordinator I works directly with Operations Producers and Production teams to keep remote broadcast production infrastructure running across ESPN’s live sports event coverage and news programming. Day-to-day responsibilities span equipment logistics, home studio installs, and real-time troubleshooting during live broadcast production. This is a role where the prep work and the day-of-air support carry equal weight.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure, deploy, and maintain camera systems and broadcast technology for home studios, field reporters, and bureau-based production teams.
• Plan and execute full home studio installations and removals at talent locations or production facilities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in field production environments and remote studio setups during live and recorded broadcast workflows.
• Coordinate shipping logistics and vendor relationships, including invoice processing and equipment inventory databases.
• Support remote sports event production by communicating technical needs and workflow requirements to Operations leadership.
• Travel domestically and internationally on short notice to provide on-site production support, with availability required on nights, weekends, and holidays.

What You Bring

• Foundational knowledge of broadcast production workflows, including newsgathering and live event operations.
• Hands-on experience with basic video production and camera systems in a professional broadcast or field production context.
• High proficiency with Mac systems and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Working knowledge of Smartsheet and BeyondTrust (Bomgar) is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills suited to coordinating across production and on-air talent teams.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
