Job Position(s): Production Assistant, FOX & Friends
Project Type: Film & Television
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

FOX News Network is hiring a Production Assistant for FOX & Friends, based in New York, New York. This role sits at the center of live morning television production, supporting segment output across in-studio and remote guest coordination, video editing workflows, and real-time social media content for one of cable’s highest-rated news programs. It suits an early-career broadcast professional who is comfortable in a live television environment and ready to take on producing responsibilities from day one.

About the Role

The Production Assistant, FOX & Friends works within the show’s daily production team on a Saturday through Wednesday schedule, with a 3:00 AM to 11:00 AM ET shift, so this is a role built around the demands of live morning television, not a standard nine-to-five. On any given shift, this person could be pulling and cutting archival footage, managing talent in the greenroom, writing on-screen banners, or coordinating a live shot with a field crew. FOX News Media reaches 200 million people monthly, and FOX & Friends is the flagship morning program within that operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate live guests both in studio and on remote, managing logistics from greenroom through on-air appearance.
  • Locate, cut, and plug video for broadcast segments, working alongside editors within the live news production workflow.
  • Write scripts, banners, and research packets to support segment producers and show hosts.
  • Produce content for social media platforms, adapting broadcast material for digital distribution.
  • Pitch original story ideas and carry them through the full segment production process from concept to air.
  • Coordinate live shots with both studio and field crews, responding to real-time production needs during the broadcast window.

What You Bring

  • Prior experience in TV news production or a communications role with direct broadcast exposure.
  • Strong digital and social media skills, with working knowledge of how content performs across platforms.
  • A bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent hands-on production experience.
  • Availability to start immediately and commit to the Saturday through Wednesday, early morning shift.
  • Comfort working directly with on-air talent and high-profile guests in a live television setting.

Why This Role

FOX & Friends has been the top-rated cable morning program for years, and this Production Assistant position offers real segment producing experience at a scale most early-career roles do not. FOX News Network offers a compensation range of $19.00 to $27.65 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off in accordance with applicable plan documents, with union-represented employees covered under the relevant collective bargaining agreement. For someone looking to build a career in live television production, the volume and visibility of work here is hard to match.

Apply now for the Production Assistant, FOX & Friends role with FOX News Network and bring your broadcast production skills to one of cable television’s most watched morning programs.
