About the Role

The Streaming Producer works within the FOX6 streaming team alongside a dedicated host, an executive producer, newsroom producers, photographers, and editors to develop and execute a live streaming news product. The daily workflow centers on real-time editorial decisions, breaking news coverage, and conversational programming built for digital audiences rather than linear broadcast. FOX Television Stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news per week across 29 stations, and this role contributes directly to the streaming-first output of that operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead live, unscripted streaming news coverage with a breaking news priority, making rapid editorial calls as stories develop across the Milwaukee market.
• Produce long-form interviews and conversational segments with newsmakers, shaping the format and pacing in real time without a scripted rundown.
• Drive daily editorial decisions from a streaming-first perspective, contributing to story selection and coverage priorities alongside the broader newsroom.
• Test and refine live streaming formats based on viewer retention data and audience engagement metrics across digital and social platforms.
• Coordinate closely with photographers and editors to turn field footage into live or near-live streaming content with minimal post-production lag.
• Monitor social and digital trends to inform coverage decisions and keep the live streaming product responsive to real-time audience interests.

What You Bring

• Proven experience producing video content for digital or streaming platforms, with comfort in unscripted and live production environments.
• Hands-on video editing and production experience, ideally within a local news or digital news operation.
• Familiarity with broadcast tools is a plus, along with working knowledge of social media platforms and their audience engagement mechanics.
• Strong editorial judgment calibrated for streaming audiences rather than traditional broadcast news formats.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as production demands require.
