Job Position(s): Photography / Videographer Intern
Project Type: Film & Television
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Merrick & Company is hiring a Photography / Videographer Intern at their Greenwood Village, Colorado office for Summer 2027. This role sits within the marketing and communications department, where the intern will shoot and edit photo and video content across company culture initiatives, project storytelling, recruiting campaigns, and client-facing materials. It suits a multimedia production student who wants real post-production workflow experience on professional projects, not coffee runs and filing.

About the Role

The intern joins Merrick’s in-house creative team, supporting visual content production for one of the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. Day-to-day work moves between capture and editing, with the intern handling everything from shot list development through asset delivery inside a structured digital asset management system. The commitment runs approximately mid-May through mid-August 2027, with paid holidays and flexible hours built into the schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shoot and edit photography and video content for marketing, communications, and business development materials following professional production workflows.
  • Execute photo retouching, color grading, and audio editing inside Adobe Creative Cloud, including Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
  • Develop shot lists, manage pre-production planning, and deliver final assets on schedule across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Organize and maintain digital asset libraries using OpenAsset, keeping file management clean across all active and archived projects.
  • Contribute visual content to social media, internal culture initiatives, live events, and client-facing storytelling pieces.
  • Track project status and deadlines through monday.com while coordinating with marketers, engineers, and project managers across departments.

What You Bring

  • Currently enrolled in a photography, videography, multimedia production, or digital media degree program, entering junior year or higher, with a graduation date after August 2027.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, specifically Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
  • Portfolio or showreel demonstrating photography, videography, or editing work from coursework, freelance, or personal projects.
  • Working knowledge of composition, lighting, exposure, camera operation, and audio capture principles.
  • U.S. Citizenship required, as client projects carry federal requirements.

Why This Role

Merrick & Company is employee-owned, which shapes how the intern program is run. Interns are assigned departmental mentors, attend weekly training meetings, and work on real client projects rather than shadow work. For a multimedia production student looking to build a post-production workflow reel with professional credits before graduation, this is a substantive placement.

Apply now for the Photography / Videographer Intern position at Merrick & Company and bring real production work into your portfolio before you graduate.
