Hermeus is hiring a Photo & Video Editor / Content Producer on a contract basis in Los Angeles, CA. This role sits within the creative department, focused on post-production workflow, with primary output spanning video editing, color work, and photography processing across brand, marketing, and communications projects. It suits an editor with a strong production background who can move between the cut and the camera without losing a step.

About the Role

Working directly under the Creative Lead, this person owns the post-production pipeline for visual content tied to one of the more technically demanding subjects in aerospace today. Roughly two days per week, the editor takes raw footage and photography through to final delivery across web, social, presentations, and internal communications. Expect a mix of studio and on-location capture days alongside dedicated editing blocks, with projects requiring both technical precision and a clear visual sensibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit video content in DaVinci Resolve, managing color grading, pacing, and final export for multiple distribution formats.
• Process and color correct photography in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, maintaining a consistent visual standard across all deliverables.
• Organize and manage photo and video asset libraries to support an efficient post-production workflow across concurrent projects.
• Execute creative direction from the Creative Lead across project types, incorporating revision rounds through to final approval.
• Operate Sony professional and mirrorless camera systems during on-location or in-studio production days as needed.
• Prepare and export final assets optimized for web, social media, marketing, and presentation use cases.

What You Bring

• Strong working proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Lightroom, and Photoshop, applied across both video and photography.
• Hands-on experience with Sony professional camera systems and related production equipment.
• A background in aerospace, technology, or an in-house marketing department with a structured content production process.
• A clear understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling as applied to non-scripted and brand content.
• Preferred: motion graphics experience in After Effects, Fusion, or comparable tools, and familiarity with industrial or technical production environments.
