Job Position(s): Photo & AV Studio Manager - DACH
Project Type: TV Series
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Netflix is hiring a Photo & AV Studio Manager for its Berlin office, covering the DACH region. Sitting within the marketing organisation, this role is responsible for the end-to-end production of photography and audiovisual assets that support title campaigns across social, digital, and press channels. It suits an experienced visual producer who has worked across entertainment marketing or episodic television and knows how to translate a show’s creative identity into compelling still and moving image content.

About the Role

The Photo & AV Studio team operates at the intersection of marketing strategy and asset production, working across a slate of series, films, and documentaries originating from the DACH region. Day-to-day, this means developing per-title visual strategies, commissioning and overseeing photo and video shoots on active productions, and managing the pipeline from concept through final delivery. You will work closely with internal teams across social, publicity, and product, as well as directly with filmmakers, talent, and their representatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the DACH photo and AV strategy for individual titles, covering ideation, production, and asset deployment across the full campaign lifecycle.
  • Produce bespoke photography and AV shoots from brief through delivery, including unit photography on active film and television productions.
  • Hire and supervise unit photographers and video crews, managing script review, shoot scheduling, and on-set communication with production teams.
  • Brief and oversee external vendors including stylists, hair and makeup, and post-production partners, handling contracts and usage permissions throughout.
  • Manage title budgets across a concurrent slate of projects, maintaining accurate tracking and accountability at each production stage.
  • Support asset management and servicing of photography and AV material, ensuring deliverables meet platform and channel specifications across multiple formats.

What You Bring

  • Eight or more years of experience in visual asset production, entertainment marketing, or a closely related field within film and television.
  • Hands-on experience working alongside TV and film productions, including direct relationships with talent, filmmakers, and talent representation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
  • Solid understanding of copyright law, usage licensing, and embargo management as they apply to entertainment marketing assets.
  • Established networks within the photography and video production industry, particularly across the German-speaking market.

Why This Role

Netflix produces a significant volume of original German-language content, meaning the Photo & AV Studio Manager in Berlin works across a genuine slate of high-profile titles rather than occasional one-off projects. The role carries real creative authority, with the manager setting visual strategy independently rather than executing briefs handed down from elsewhere. For someone with a background in episodic television marketing or entertainment photography production, this is a senior position with scope to shape how DACH originals are presented to audiences and press.
