THE ROLE

Coordinator to Film Composer Agent & KEM Founder

This is a full-time, on-site role that provides day-to-day operational and strategic support to a leading film composer agent representing high-level Film and Television clients. It functions as a central coordination point between clients, studios, producers, and internal teams, ensuring communication and priorities remain aligned. The position supports the full lifecycle of client projects, from early awareness and pitch preparation through active production and delivery. It is responsible for maintaining schedules, tracking key information, and keeping the agent’s workflow moving efficiently. The role requires sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate calmly in a high-stakes outward-facing environment. Fluency in the language and culture of film music is essential to supporting clients and representing the agency effectively.

Core Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to Kraft-Engel Founding Partner
  • Call management & coverage: Answer Phones, Roll and manage high-volume inbound and outbound calls; take clear, actionable call notes and dictation, while balancing simultaneous background tasks.
  • Project tracking & development: Maintain up-to-date records on active and prospective Film/TV projects; proactively track upcoming projects via trades, IMDbPro, and direct industry outreach.
  • Client & industry communication: Serve as a primary point of contact with clients, producers, studio executives, and music departments; communicate professionally and efficiently on the agent’s behalf.
  • Pitch support & submissions: Prepare, assemble, and review client submission reels; coordinate pitch materials and track submissions and follow-ups.
  • Invoice & schedule tracking: Track client project milestones for invoicing; maintain composer schedules; liaise with accounting regarding billing, payments, and financial status.
  • Calendar & workflow management: Organize daily agenda for agent; manage meetings, calls, and deadlines; ensure emails are addressed and follow-ups completed. Maintain up-to-date client project schedules.
  • Administrative coordination: Maintain calendars, schedules, and internal records across multiple clients and projects.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years experience as an executive assistant – beneficial if at Label, Publishing Company, Management Company/Agency, Film Studio, or otherwise comparable role.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute under pressure in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed; anticipates needs and follows through without prompting.
  • Calm, professional, and confident when interacting with high-profile personalities.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Working fluency in film music terminology (e.g., orchestral vs. electronic scoring); prior experience or knowledge of the film music industry strongly preferred.
  • High level of discretion, reliability, and work ethic; comfortable monitoring and responding to time-sensitive communications outside standard hours.
  • Collaborative mindset and clear interest in building a long-term career in entertainment.
  • Passion for film, television, and film music strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with AirTable, FileMaker, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets is a plus.

Additional Information

–      Hiring Salary Range: $52,000.00 – $60,000.00. ($25-$28.85 per hour)

–      The role is based M-F 9:30a-6:30p in offices in the Cahuenga Pass near Hollywood California.

–      Paid Hourly, with overtime at 1.5x Hourly Rate.

–      Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, discretionary bonus, and PTO.
