Position: Music Directors and Composers – AI Trainer

Compensation: $20–$54/hour

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality training data to help AI systems understand musical direction, composition, and performance nuances.
• Review, annotate, and curate music samples, scores, and notations for model development.
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to interpret model outputs and recommend creative enhancements.
• Establish guidelines for music data curation with emphasis on genre, emotion, and musicality.
• Provide structured feedback on AI-generated music to ensure artistic integrity and industry relevance.
• Lead workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions on music theory, arrangement, and emerging trends.
• Communicate complex musical concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience as a music director, composer, or arranger across multiple genres.
• Advanced expertise in music theory, orchestration, composition techniques, and digital music technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to curate, annotate, and critique music in professional or educational settings.
• Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and remote collaboration tools.
• Passion for innovation at the intersection of music and technology.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
