Multimedia Editor/Videographer (YA)

SPH Media Limited is hiring a Multimedia Editor/Videographer (YA) to join their content team in Singapore. This role sits within the digital video production arm of a Chinese-language publication, responsible for editing and shooting short-form video and podcast content aimed at young adult audiences. It is a strong fit for an editor with a videography background who understands social media content workflows and wants to work within an established media organisation.

About the Role

The Multimedia Editor/Videographer (YA) works inside a publication team producing original video and podcast content for young adult readers of a Chinese-language media brand under SPH Media Limited. Day-to-day work involves cutting footage in post-production, supporting shoots, and adapting content formats to match current social media platform trends. The role requires someone who can move between the edit suite and the field without losing momentum on delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form and long-form video content using Adobe Premiere Pro, applying motion graphics and visual effects work through After Effects as needed.
• Operate camera and audio equipment on location shoots, contributing to video production from capture through to final deliverable.
• Read and interpret Chinese-language source material to shape editorial direction and ensure content accuracy for the target publication.
• Build and refine post-production workflows that keep multiple content formats moving through the pipeline efficiently and on deadline.
• Monitor platform trends across social media to inform pacing, format, and visual style decisions for each piece of content.
• Contribute original ideas to video and podcast formats, bringing a point of view that connects with young adult audiences in a genuine way.

What You Bring

• Diploma in Art, Design, Creative Multimedia, Video Production, or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Two to three years of hands-on experience in video editing, with a portfolio that demonstrates post-production work across multiple formats.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects, used within a real production workflow.
• Strong written and reading command of Chinese, sufficient to work directly with Chinese-language editorial content.
• Demonstrable awareness of current social media content styles and the visual grammar that performs on short-form platforms.
