Dataiku is hiring a Motion Designer / Video Editor for a 1 or 2 year apprenticeship based in Paris, Ile-de-France. This role sits inside the brand and creative team, producing animated content across product videos, demo reels, digital advertising, and social video as part of a structured motion design pipeline. It suits a design or audiovisual student who wants to work inside a real brand system rather than produce one-off pieces for a course portfolio.

About the Role

The Motion Designer / Video Editor apprentice reports directly to the lead motion designer and works alongside brand designers, content strategists, and field marketers on deliverables with genuine deadlines. Day-to-day work covers everything from storyboard and animatic development through to final render and delivery across multiple aspect ratios and platforms. This is a production workflow role, not a speculative one, and output ships to real audiences from the first months in the position.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce animations, video edits, and visual effects for brand campaigns, events, and social channels working within Dataiku’s established visual identity system.
• Build storyboards and animatics from creative briefs, then own those assets through to final render and export.
• Adapt existing motion formats across platforms and aspect ratios, maintaining consistency across each deliverable.
• Work directly with brand and product marketing teams to translate written briefs into finished video assets, flagging gaps in briefs before production begins.
• Support the lead motion designer on larger productions while owning defined pieces of each project end to end.
• Maintain technical standards across exports, including timing, title typography, and delivery specs for each distribution channel.

What You Bring

• Current enrollment in a design, motion, or audiovisual program, eligible for a French alternance contract starting October 2026 for 1 or 2 years.
• Working knowledge of After Effects and Premiere Pro at a production-ready level.
• Familiarity with Figma or AI-assisted tools such as Midjourney, Runway, or Higgsfield is a genuine plus.
• Attention to detail in post-production workflow, specifically timing, title kerning, and export settings.
• Written and spoken English sufficient for working with an international team.

Dataiku operates at a scale where motion design work reaches enterprise audiences globally, which means the production volume and feedback cycles here are closer to a studio environment than a typical in-house role. The apprenticeship structure includes direct mentoring from a senior motion designer and genuine exposure to a full brand and marketing team. The contract runs 1 or 2 years on a 4 days per week schedule, with 2 to 3 days per week on site in Paris and remote flexibility on remaining days.
