Netflix is hiring a Manager, VFX for Chinese Language content, based in Taipei City, Taiwan. This role sits within Netflix’s post-production and content organization, overseeing VFX across a slate of Chinese-language series and films from early development through final delivery. It’s a fit for a senior VFX professional who has managed multi-vendor pipelines in Chinese-language markets and knows how to operate at the intersection of creative and production.

About the Role

The Manager, VFX works across Netflix’s Chinese-language content slate, partnering with content, production, and post teams to ensure VFX quality, schedule, and budget are tracked and maintained across multiple concurrent titles. Day to day, this means getting into scripts and pitches early, managing vendor relationships across the region, and driving consistency in how VFX production workflow is planned and executed. Virtual production, including LED stage work and real-time tools, is part of the scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide VFX guidance at the development stage, reviewing scripts, treatments, and budgets to assess feasibility before production begins.
  • Oversee VFX breakdowns, bidding, and scheduling across a multi-title slate, monitoring show health from prep through delivery.
  • Evaluate and onboard local and regional VFX vendors, studios, and supervisors, with a focus on building sustainable regional capacity.
  • Lead virtual production workflows where appropriate, including on-set visualization, LED stage integration, and real-time pipeline tools.
  • Champion data-informed decisions around bids, throughput, and production health to keep episodic television and film projects on track.
  • Run training sessions and industry outreach to raise the standard of VFX production across Chinese-language markets.

What You Bring

  • 10 or more years working in VFX supervision, production management, or a related role across film, series, or high-end streaming.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-vendor VFX pipelines across multiple productions simultaneously.
  • Direct experience working in Chinese-language markets, with fluency in both Mandarin and English required.
  • Strong working knowledge of CG, compositing, asset and shot pipelines, and on-set VFX supervision.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows or emerging production technologies is a plus.

Why This Role

Netflix’s Chinese-language content slate is growing, and this role has real influence over how VFX strategy, vendor relationships, and production methodology develop across the region. The position is embedded in a global post-production organization with access to resources, tools, and production infrastructure that most regional roles don’t offer. For a senior VFX professional looking to shape how the discipline operates at scale in a major streaming context, this is a substantive next step.

Apply now for the Manager, VFX position at Netflix and bring your production expertise to one of the most active Chinese-language content slates in the industry.
