About the Role

Working under ESPN’s Studio Design & Development leadership, this Manager, Remote Special Project – Studio Design & Development (PH) position covers five distinct Super Bowl LXI locations including SoFi Stadium, Santa Monica, the Los Angeles Convention Center, Disneyland Resort, and NFL Network. The day-to-day work runs the full arc of live broadcast production design, from early vendor bidding and shop visits through on-site installation and final strike by March 1, 2026. This is a full-time, project-based engagement that requires constant presence across all LA area sites throughout the production lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all ESPN Super Bowl LXI studio and set project management, maintaining direct alignment with Studio Design & Development leadership throughout every phase.
  • Oversee scenic fabrication execution and installation across all five assigned broadcast locations, ensuring builds meet ESPN’s established studio set design standards.
  • Manage production timelines and budgets from initial concept through final delivery, tracking vendor milestones against the overall live broadcast production schedule.
  • Coordinate site walks, shop visits, and build reviews with local scenic fabrication partners, evaluating scenic builds in real time and escalating issues to senior leadership as needed.
  • Run the bidding process for scenic vendors, evaluating proposals against budget parameters and ESPN’s technical requirements for large-scale broadcast studio builds.
  • Act as the on-the-ground liaison between internal ESPN stakeholders and local fabrication vendors, keeping communication tight across a multi-location broadcast production footprint.

What You Bring

  • Minimum eight years of project management experience in scenic design and production design for broadcast or live production environments.
  • Demonstrated credits on large-scale broadcast studio builds or live event production, with working knowledge of ESPN studio set design expectations specifically.
  • Proven track record managing production budgets, developing timelines, and evaluating vendor performance across complex multi-site projects.
  • Established relationships with Los Angeles area scenic and fabrication vendors, with the ability to assess build quality against broadcast production standards.
  • Local residency in the Los Angeles area with reliable access to all project locations throughout the engagement.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
