Key Responsibilities

• Produce and manage all elements of the afternoon linear newscast, including rundown structure, timing, and live segment execution.
• Lead the editorial response to breaking news and large-scale live event coverage, making real-time decisions that hold up under broadcast deadlines.
• Pitch and develop original story ideas daily as part of active participation in the station’s editorial planning process.
• Fill producing roles across other newscasts and platforms as needed, including occasional Executive Producer coverage.
• Work alongside reporters, editors, and technical teams to maximize the capabilities of a state-of-the-art studio built for modern local television production.
• Use social media as a genuine newsgathering and distribution tool, integrated into the broadcast workflow rather than treated as secondary.
