This role sits within the brand’s marketing department, producing product-led video content across the full pipeline: from product demonstrations and how-to edits to short-form social content and branch coverage. It suits a self-sufficient shooter and editor who is comfortable working solo in industrial environments and wants ownership of a real content calendar from day one.

About the Role

The Junior Videographer at Adendorff Machinery Mart works directly inside a physical-product retail brand, producing commercial video content that reaches customers across South Africa daily. A typical day involves planning and executing product shoots in warehouse settings, cutting footage through a full post-production workflow, and publishing across multiple platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. This is a hands-on in-house production role with direct accountability for reach, engagement, and content output.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit product demonstration videos and how-to content that communicate machine function clearly to tradespeople, often operating as a solo shooter on location.
• Own the full post-production workflow including colour grading, audio mixing, caption creation, motion graphics, and multi-format exports optimised for each platform.
• Maintain and deliver against a structured content calendar, managing briefs through to published assets without requiring oversight.
• Produce platform-native short-form video for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and WhatsApp, with formats adapted for each distribution channel.
• Read platform analytics after each publish cycle, draw conclusions about content performance, and apply those findings to the next production brief.
• Maximise each shoot by building a family of assets from a single session, from long-form product education edits down to short-form promotional clips.

What You Bring

• A minimum of two years producing video professionally, with a portfolio you personally shot and edited from brief to delivery.
• Strong working command of Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, plus motion graphics competence in After Effects or a comparable tool.
• Proven ability as a solo shooter, handling camera, lighting, and location audio to a standard that makes industrial environments look deliberate on screen.
• Demonstrated platform literacy, meaning you have published content, tracked the numbers, and can speak to what performed and why.
• Experience filming in workshops, warehouses, or similar physical-product environments is a clear advantage, as is photography, drone, or gimbal work.
