Hearst UK is hiring a Junior Video Editor based in London to join the in-house video team across its portfolio of premium consumer media brands. This is a post-production role focused on editing social-first content, branded partnerships, editorial features and commercial campaigns for titles including Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar and Esquire. It suits an editor with a solid grounding in digital video production who is comfortable moving between short-form social content and longer branded formats.

About the Role

The Junior Video Editor sits within Hearst UK’s central video team, contributing to content output across multiple brand identities and audience demographics from a single in-house post-production workflow. Day to day, this means cutting edits in Adobe Premiere Pro, building platform-specific versions for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, and working directly with producers, journalists and art directors to deliver finished content that meets both editorial and commercial briefs. The role is office-based at House of Hearst in St James’s, London, with flexible Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit a broad range of video content across Hearst UK’s brand portfolio, spanning editorial features, social-first campaigns, live events coverage and commercial branded partnerships.
• Deliver platform-optimised cuts tailored to the technical and creative specifications of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube and Facebook.
• Apply colour correction, audio balancing and quality control throughout the post-production process to ensure a broadcast-quality finish on every deliverable.
• Build motion graphics and title sequences using Adobe After Effects, with supporting asset work in Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Manage multiple concurrent editing projects, tracking ingest through to final delivery while meeting deadlines across different brand teams.
• Use video performance data and audience insights to inform creative decisions on pacing, format and structure in future edits.

What You Bring

• Proven experience editing high-quality video content using Adobe Premiere Pro as your primary editing tool.
• Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator within a professional post-production context.
• A background cutting content for B2C publishers, media organisations, creative agencies or branded content studios.
• Strong understanding of video storytelling, narrative structure and pacing across short-form and long-form digital formats.
• Familiarity with platform-specific requirements and how content performs differently across digital channels.
