Skinnify is hiring a full-time Video Editor to work remotely from anywhere in the world. This role sits inside the creative and performance marketing department, producing direct-response video ads, video sales letters, and short-form social content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Google. It suits an editor with a genuine background in DTC e-commerce advertising who knows the difference between content that looks good and content that actually converts.

About the Role

Skinnify is a e-commerce apparel brand that has scaled to over 150,000 customers in three years, and the Video Editor is central to that growth engine, turning raw footage and creative briefs into polished ad assets that drive measurable sales. The post-production workflow here spans everything from 30-second hooks built for social feeds to 2-3 minute VSLs designed to close. On any given week, you are moving between multiple formats, iterating on performance data, and shipping finished cuts to media buyers who are running live campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit high-converting direct-response video ads for paid social and paid search platforms, ensuring every cut serves the hook, angle, and storyline laid out in the creative brief.
  • Produce a consistent output of 5 to 10 finished edits per week across short-form ad formats and longer-form video sales letters.
  • Work directly with creative strategists and media buyers to align post-production output with campaign performance goals.
  • Iterate on existing cuts based on platform analytics and creative feedback, adjusting pacing, copy overlays, and structure to improve conversion rates.
  • Maintain organized asset libraries, version control, and template systems so the team can move quickly without losing work.
  • Track trends in social video editing styles and meme culture to keep ad creative feeling current across platforms.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience editing performance video ads for DTC e-commerce brands, this is a firm requirement and not negotiable.
  • Proficiency in professional post-production software, with a reel that demonstrates direct-response editing across multiple formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high volume output without a drop in quality or missed deadlines.
  • Fluency in the visual grammar of paid social, including motion graphics, text overlays, pacing for retention, and platform-specific aspect ratios.
  • Comfort working independently inside an async, remote production workflow with minimal supervision.
