Big Apple Film Festival (BAFF) is a renowned event held in New York City, dedicated to showcasing and promoting high-quality films from the independent film community. The festival celebrates New York City through innovative and purposeful filmmaking, offering a variety of screenings and premieres. BAFF has featured alumni films with notable accolades and honorary guests from the industry.

Role Description

This is an independent contractor remote role for Film and Screenwriting Mentors, supporting the Big Apple Film Festival’s year-round industry mentorship sessions, which take place virtually. The mentors will be responsible for providing guidance and support to aspiring filmmakers and screenwriters, offering expertise in scriptwriting, screenplays, producing, film production, and directing.

Qualifications

Professional Experience in Film Production, Development, Directing, Screenwriting
Experience in Script Coverage
Ability to mentor and guide aspiring filmmakers and screenwriters
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of the film industry and trends
Experience in film festivals or events is a plus
Degree in Film, Screenwriting, or related field

COMPENSATION: $75 – $100 per one-hour session
